This is a practical handbook of how to
deal with the greatest crisis in history. At the
core of this crisis is a degenerate social-political
system. The book methodically analyses the causal
processes which put power in the hands of corrupt,
incompetent people, and then analyses the various
options for replacing them with something more competent
and sustainable. I conclude by elaborating on our
chosen solution, involving a transformation of the
political system and an effective organisation to bring
it about. Finally I give full practical details of
how we are already starting to make it all happen.
And how you yourself can get involved in various
ways.
Dear Reader, This book differs from other
ones about political or social matters, as I shall now
explain. It is important that you do not skip past
any “less important” bits or what you “already know”, or
jump forward to look at the conclusions and solutions we
favour. If you were to do that then you would very
likely fail to understand the real reasons why we
concluded something, and remain forever stuck in the
same rut of preconceptions that you were in before you
picked up this book. If I could have made it
all clear in just an “executive summary” I wouldn’t have
needed to spend an age writing the whole book
instead!
Instead you need to study through it
carefully and thoughtfully from beginning to end without
missing anything out. Like a Maths or French
course. I have invested a huge amount of
care and time in trying to make this book as clear and
quick and easy to understand as I am able. It’s
now up to you to do yourself a favour and read it with
the same care and thoughtfulness!
There are likely to be various false
assumptions planted in your mind by one or more
alternative propaganda systems. There’s quite a lot you
may need to learn, but more to the point you may have to
do quite a lot of unlearning, and such unlearning is
something that most people find peculiarly
difficult.
It is possible that you are a total
beginner in what this book is about. So I have to
present all the basics as clearly as I can. Or
perhaps instead you may find some of the beginning all
too seemingly obvious. In that case I ask you to
be patient and still read through carefully from start
to finish – it’s extremely unlikely that you already
know it all!
Anyway, here’s two relatively trivial
local matters to start with. (The details of this
book are mainly UK-oriented but the main substance is of
absolutely global relevance.)
Firstly, serious fraud by UK Chancellor
Gordon Brown. In the Guardian of 18 June
2002, page 17, George Monbiot ended an article (Public
Fraud Initiative) with the words “This article contains
nine serious and specific charges of [enormous] public
fraud and false accounting, commissioned and directed by
the Treasury.... If these charges are false I would
appeal to the chancellor to repudiate them ..... If he
fails to do so, readers should conclude that he has no
defence to offer.” Following which there was no
response whatsoever, not in the Guardian letters, not
elsewhere, nor even any further mention anywhere in
media or parliament – whereas normally every slightest
attack on the government gets immediately rebutted,
e.g., “No, the Prime Minister's hair is not turning
grey”. Which raises the question: why was
there this stupendous media blackout of such a serious
offence by Gordon Brown?
(Technical hint - if you
right-click these links then you can open in a
separate window and not lose this page!) (You can
find Monbiot’s
original article on the Guardian
website.)[1] [these numbers refer to the references
list]
Secondly, Blair’s crooked “health”
minister Melanie Johnson. Yet another hushed-up
scandal currently in progress as I write (-2005).
Here’s what was said in a parliamentary
committee (the Hansard official record), but which the
media didn’t find any room for among the oceans of
political drivel they constantly churn out.
Chris Grayling: The debate that we
are about to have is extremely important. The
regulations are being monitored outside this place by
thousands of people throughout the country, who have
signed petitions and have made seemingly endless
representations to hon. Members and Ministers, and whose
views, as of today, are not being listened to. Not only
that, their views are being treated with complete
contempt and disdain by the Government and the Labour
party, with some honourable exceptions.
[The debate in question was about the Food
Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, which imposes
the EU Food Supplements Directive as of August 2005.]
[Next in this following paragraph you can
see reference to the fact that six (not two) MPs who had
had time to learn of the criminal motivations behind the
Directive had been removed at the last moment, in other
words the committee was rigged for corrupt
anti-democractic purposes:]
Chris Grayling: On a point of order, Mr.
Griffiths. You may be aware that since their original
appointment to the Committee, at least two Labour
Members [in fact six] have been removed against their
wishes because they said that they would support the
prayer against the directive. [....] Do you know of
rules that might show the Government that such behaviour
is unacceptable, particularly as this issue is of
fundamental importance to so many people?
The
Chairman: [....] such moves are made through the usual
channels. [....] I can only say that the Minister
[Melanie Johnson] can discuss it further in the Whips
Office, if she so wishes [but she didn’t].
Mr. David
Wilshire: [....] will you express your concern to the
Government at their yet again showing another example of
their jackboot approach and determination to stamp on
this place and parliamentary democracy, if any hon.
Members so much as say that they have doubts about the
Government's dictatorial attitude? Will you ask the
Government to return to a belief in democracy and to
behave themselves?
Here’s some background to those MPs’
comments. The most mega-profitable industry in
history – the drugs industry – has found itself
threatened by the growing popularity of vastly more
effective treatment by vitamins, minerals and other
nutrients. So they have conspired to get these
banned in all but useless doses. First they
quietly bought up all the main vitamin makers and
retailers, Holland and Barrett, GNC, etc, though this
didn't exactly make any headlines. And they got
the EU “parliament” to approve the oppressive Foods
Supplements Directive to stop people buying these
life-saving products which harm only big-biz
profits.
On 3 July 2003
those criminal measures were quietly ratified by that
rigged committee of the UK regime. The
“health minister” Melanie Johnson was challenged in
committee to say which of the many threatened products
were unsafe and to ban them immediately rather than two
years later, but she could not be bothered to
answer. And in contrast to the huge media noise
made about “scandals” which neither affect the
electorate nor can be affected by them, this one was
totally hushed up. Instead the media have merely
continued to misrepresent nutritional therapy as a
fashionable fad going against scientific wisdom.
They give no hint that in reality it is the scientific
wisdom, clearly established by many thousands of studies
over the decades. Again, you didn’t hear about any
of this from the media. A lot more info is
available from websites such as www.alliance-natural-health.org
and www.iahf.com
. The official record is at www.publications.parliament.uk
– search for “food supplements (england)” with “standing
committee” ticked.
Before moving on I should make clear that
this is not an exclusively Labour Party thing.
That same Chris Grayling (Conservative) who had moaned
about the utter uselessness of petitions has since gone
on to make a huge fuss about his own “e-petition”
(regarding which you don’t notice the card in the shop,
forget it when you get home, don’t have web-access,
can’t type, the webserver is down, and who cares
anyway?) – you may just about see the outlines of
a cynical deliberate pseudo-campaign there if you look
hard enough.
And as for the “Liberal Democrats”, their
website begins with Charles Kennedy’s claim that their
highest priority is the defending of freedom of choice,
and sure, on this matter etc.
